Miracles?

My classmates in high school never took religion class seriously. They took it like a class where they can talk, fool around and do whatever they want, because they'd pass the class anyway.

I had problems in my life at that time; doubts and fears I didn’t tell anyone but were consuming me. I decided one night that I would ask the teacher for a prayer, for us to pray in class. I knew my classmates will surely laugh at me, but I didn't care. I felt needed that prayer..

The next morning only one classmate showed up for class, so the teacher started talking about a conference he's been to, and that he got "these" at that conference - and he took out some yellowish papers from his backpack. He said he had a lot of them, but gave them off to people. Now he only has three left, so he will give one to my classmate, one to me, and keep one for himself.

There was a prayer on the paper..
It Gave Me Hope..

I couldn't post this on www.GivesMeHope.com because it was a wee bit too long, so I post it here, and in the same time I want to let anyone reading this know.. It's a website worth reading through..
Makes You realise, clouds aren’t that dark, and there’s a sun above it at all times..

Some of my favourite inspirations..

I am a lesbian and I was walking through a busy town holding my girlfriend's hand. As usual, we were glared at and yelled at a lot. Then we passed a woman walking with her daughter, who was maybe 7 years old. The little girl asked her mom why two girls were holding hands, and we heard her say after we passed, "Because they love each other." GMH.

Today is my birthday. A couple months ago I was attacked by a dog that left horrendous scars on my face. My boyfriend made a book that says "You're the most beautiful thing I have ever seen" in over 100 different languages. GMH

A little girl was dying of cancer and her younger brother had a match for the bone marrow she needed. The doctors told him it was a matter of life and death. After he had the surgery, he asked the doctors how long he had to live. He thought if he gave his bone marrow to let his sister live he would die but he did it anyway. GMH

The other day, I went to the grocery store to pick up a few things. While walking through the parking lot, I noticed a man stand on his shopping cart, and give a few good pushes before jumping on. He smiled and laughed the entire way, loving life. He was about 50 and wearing a business suit. GMH.

Today, I took a stroll through Manhattan, and I saw a man put a quarter in a parking meter. He then put a quarter in every parking meter that needed time on it so they wouldn't get towed. GMH

At a fireworks display tonight, a man with Downs syndrome sat next to me on my blanket. His elderly parents were next to us & started to scold him & apologize, but I said I had plenty of room. He held my hand & told me he wanted to watch fireworks with me because I was pretty & he wanted to be my friend. He GMH.

Today, I stopped at a local used book store that is located on a pretty bad street in my neighborhood. Bringing my books to the front of the store, I met the owner, a quadriplegic man who asked me to put the money for the purchase into his front pocket. He has ran the store for 3 years and never once been robbed. GMH.

My brother has Down Syndrome and doesn't speak very well. This week while we were down the beach he tried to learn how to skim board. He would try and ask the other boys how they did it and they would laugh at him and walk away. The last day 4 teenage boys spent hours with him teaching him. They were so patient. He wouldn't stop smiling :) They GMH.

I was talking with this little girl I used to babysit for before I started college. I explained to her that I'd be gone for a while and would only see her when I came home for vacations. She said, "So you'll be gone for the whole year except summer and holidays?" I nodded. Then she said, "So you're going to Hogwarts?" GMH

Every year, the graduating 8th grade class votes for superlatives. The teachers add up the votes. When 'Jordan A' was announced for Most Inspirational, teachers were in tears to see our entire class who never get along, give a standing ovation. He died in a fire in fourth grade and we still consider him part of our class. GMH

I work in a coffee shop, and every time I make a hot chocolate for someone, I like to draw a pattern in chocolate sauce on the froth relevant to what I think they'd like. Smiley faces for little boys, love hearts and butterflies for the girls and sometimes, if I'm really lucky and hear their name, the first letter. Their laughter GMH.

My family name is Györfi. In my language, “ör” means “guardian”.. I want to live up to my name..
